Shannon Lindner
Shannon, almost a native of Phoenix, has always been drawn to sunshine and adventure. She first hiked the Grand Canyon at age 6, and she hasn’t stopped seeking new trails since. A friend passed down Tinker’s old Cannondale Raven in 1998, introducing her to mountain biking and new ways to leave others in the dust.
Her journey into endurance events began in 2001 with her participation in the Leadville 100 bike AND run (when they were only 1 week apart). The following year, she took on and triumphed in her first XTERRA Triathlon, igniting a passion for the sport. In 2010, Shannon teamed up with XTERRA to establish the Trail Run Series in the Southwest, marking the birth of Shendo Cat Racing.
Decades later, Shannon is still as active as ever. Whether she’s bombing down South Mountain’s National Trail, exploring gravel roads across the country, backpacking in far-flung corners of the world, or simply fueling her adventures with copious amounts of coffee at a local café, her spirit for exploration, culture, community, and adrenaline remains undiminished.
